I wouldn't say he thinks of himself THAT highly. But everyone seems to agree that he's the best man for the job, since nobody wants to run against him. But he's so afraid that his relationship with Marnie could be seen as favoritism or some other form of corruption, when in reality, I would bet the entire town would be happy for them.
Wouldn't want the voters to learn that their duly elected leader has such exotic tastes in undergarments? Reassuring to learn that Alex and Kyle enjoy the trust and confidence of such a highly placed authority - and to get some insights into what they might do if, of course, they weren't so very deserving of such abiding faith. Besides, that compensation should bring home a nice little brood of ducklings. Nice little chuckle after some of the heavier narratives, too.
Alex should be cautious with ducklings - they're likely to decide she's their mom, get "imprinted" on her, and try to follow her everywhere. Although, I must admit, seeing Alex with a perpetual parade of ducklings following her everywhere would be enchanting (and achingly cute). Kyle would love it ... and maybe be just a bit envious.
The old floofy man is used to be a lil much distracted lately, losing the purple shorts at Marnie's market hahaha 😂 of course Kyle didn't waste another minute to notice them and get rewarded from the clearly embarrassed mayor in person! And what is more fun is dear Kyle making sure to have soon a pair of those shorts for his own purposes... prank the old man at every fun occasion! 😎👌
We hope Lewis is gonna learn from his last distraction, if someone else outside of Kyle found those shorts... i can't imagine how many of his affairs would be public now 🤭
Btw loved a lot to see Kyle "in undercover mode" going to pick up the shorts while Alex had to ask some advice to distract Marnie heheh 😆
