So this concept spun off of an idea that came to mind working with a friend's project. I had imagined what would've happened if their protogen character had managed to get infected by my computer virus character ONI. They came up with the term "ONIgen" and that spurred me to make a sketch of a protogen ONI. Over a month later, I finally colored it.

A lot of the design borrows from NekONI, but enough alterations were made that I think mimics the protogen species fairly well. To note, ONIgen doesn't actually have a mouth, though that shell on the face with the mandible-like details certainly makes it seem like that's the case. Just plug him into a wall and he'll be good to go.

He's probably thinking about toast right now.
