Given his experience in Eataly in WWII and as a trauma surgeon at the Disney Corporation's infirmary, Jonathan volunteered to be a combat medic once again in the new 104th Composite Unit, led by the hero of the Battle of Cartoonia, Chanticleer Bluth. Out of respect for Chanticleer, Jonathan started wearing a neckerchief around his neck like many other soldiers in the 104th. He's even found neckerchiefs to be quite handy when making makeshift tourniquets whenever he's low on gauze.

During his downtime, Jonathan sings as first tenor in Chanticleer's a cappella group. He finds it relaxing after encountering tense situations on the front lines and at aid stations.
