Back when I was really into the Sgt. Frog anime. The fourth movie had just come out (involving dragons), and I 'gasm'd. <3
More practice with painting (also was my first few attempts using a tablet). The big fellow is the dragon form of Corporal Giroro and his (not so) secret love interest Natsumi.
I also lamented how I seem to be stuck with drawing blue sky/green grass scenes. ;_;

Well, the basic rundown of the anime Sgt. Frog (or Sgt. Keroro/ Keroro Gunso) is about a frog-like alien and his platoon of five men sent to earth to invade it. But due to a careless mistake he ends up being captive by two children and is reduced to being essentially a maid. The platoon was separated but eventually brought back together, but due to Keroro bound by his captive status, they're unable to carry out their invasion, instead reduced to creating a base of operations below the children's house where they make various schemes to take over Earth that usually...don't work. XD; There's a lot of humor in the episodes as it goes along, with really funny and outrageous subjects, and a little adult humor (that could easily fly over younger viewers' heads). The anime is still ongoing until now with 300+ episodes, though I think its outlived itself after episode 350, when everything starts to get stale and repetitive. The manga is a bit more entertaining.
As for the movie, I pretty much forgot what it was about, but I think it was about an alien dragon that was threatening to destroy the earth. Keroro and his platoon had gone to investigate it (as it was manifested as an infinity long dragon tail appearing in all parts of the globe) and each of them were subsequently attacked and transformed into brainwashed dragon versions of themselves and made to protect the dragon as it developed. They eventually regained their senses and joined forces to take it down.

XD I guess that would have been helpful too. Most of where I learned about the anime is in wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sgt._Frog Not all the information there is down, though it does pretty much give better insight to it, as well as the movie.
Most hardcore fans of the series said they were disappointed in it. I liked it personally, though I think most people wanted the dragons to have been features more prominently, rather than taking mostly side roles (the main focus was on a girl that was associated with the dragons).
