As it is tradition for a wizard like Trent to have his off springs to have magical powers of their own, and since Kai and Kamiya are adopted to the family, they are legally part of Trent's family, therefore are allowed to have magical powers of their own.

For Kai he has organic gold transformation: able to turn parts of his body into gold, which gives him sub powers of super durability and super strength, along with aurokinesis which allows him to manipulate gold, and gas mimicry: can be able to turn himself into a gas of any kind that can sedate enemies or just smell nicely along with limited intangibility: gue to his gaseous powers, he can phase through or around certain kinds of objects, such as when he changed into his gas form to move through a chain link fence or avoid getting punched.

As for Kamiya she has substance creation: this allows her to create things from her skin such as weapons of any kind, however she needed tattoos in order to do that so she as a sub power to create tattoos on her body at will and dissipates whenever she no longer needs it, and organic steel transformation/Metal Mimicry: allowing her to turn her body into steel, however her body can be mistaken for silver since she is with her "Golden Brother" so for now, it is silver. With this she also has super durability and strength however she has enhanced speed and has the ability to stomp shockwave inducing tremors that can knock people off their feet.
