I have in my possession a pretty goddamn awesome book on grilling. I've been using it all winter on the lovely barbecue we got back in summer with some pretty entertaining results.
Anyways, the book is split up into sections based on what it is you want to cook, including vegetables. I was extremely entertained to find a section titled How To Grill A Cabbage. This was the end result. ^^
For those wondering at home, it's a whole cabbage, cored and then filled with sauteed bacon and onions, butter and barbecue sauce, painted with the remaining bacon grease, seasoned with a bit of salt and lots of pepper, then grilled slowly for about an hour. The end result actually tastes sort of like a cabbage roll, but more savoury. Serves 6-8, or four generously. Really delicious. ^^
