The first ever Adventures in Science not to have a mature rating.
Also the first with a VIDEO COMPONENT! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ds1qFYJC2ec
A double feature this time when it comes to science. On the one hand we have the principal of diffusion taking place. A small amount of solute placed in a solvent will eventually spread out as it approaches a uniform concentration. Even though the individual motion of molecules may be down or up the concentration gradient the statistical inevitability is for an equilibrium where the solute is evenly dispersed.
The other feature here is the fluorescence of the aptly named Fluorescein. It absorbs light at 494 nm becomes excited and emits light at 521 nm. Those are the statistical averages of course, the maximum absorbance and emission as the actual energy of incoming and outgoing photons deviates and can not be directly observed yadda yadda Schrödinger Heisenberg and so on. All you need to know is a little of this mostly harmless dye (I have drank it for kicks) goes a LONG WAY. It is often used to trace the path of water through cave systems and glaciers, or other dark scary placed under the earth where people can't go to see where a water route leads.
Or, you can uperdeck your toilet with a few drops to make the water look like antifreeze.
This is also an experiment in just how many times an internet meme can be recycled.
Also, I can't draw.

Is he called Troll Face? I guess I just always assumed he was basically Guy Fawks without his facial hair being way too happy about being mischievous. I really hope I don't have to rely on internet memes for laughs in the future though. Don't wanna end up like Dick Figures.
