I found out about it years late! Haha, I feel like it's not as well known, but after reading it I think I like it better than ASOUE (and I really like ASOUE!!) It's a prequel series, about Snicket himself when he was a kid. Lots of little shout outs to the original series, and it's so fun to see more from that universe! If you end up checking it out, I hope you enjoy it! It's 4 main books, and then a fifth book which is just cute mini-mysteries you're supposed to solve on your own!

Hmmmm, that's not a bad idea actually, I might try ebay first to just get the whole series and probably for cheaper! ^.^
I'm......still trying. Lol. I'm trying to improve my coloring and go more toward the colored sketches like how you do but it's tricky. It seems to need very subtle build-ups that I don't have the ability to do just yet.

Be careful on ebay! A lot of sellers use stock images, and because of that, I ended up with several copies of each book, with writing or stickers or tears, until I found copies that were good. Even one listed "brand new", and which I paid a lot for for that very reason, had spine-ruining sticker on it! I'M READY TO GO TO WAR AGAINST STOCK IMAGE SELLERS! 😂
Ahh yeah the sketchy look can be tough! I'm not sure if it helps, but my sketches are all drawn on paper, which I think gives them a texture that absolutely helps camouflage very simple, messy coloring, and that is absolutely my secret technique!
