Personality: A goofball, jokester, passionate, caring, experienced, sometimes insecure, and doesn't always think things through.
Friends: Halle (Jason's mother), Jason, Duke, Clyde, Ricky, Darius, Myka, Angelo, Axel, Sarah, Yuri, Diego, Jasper, and many others.
Hobbies/Interests: Playing basketball with friends, watching horror and comedy movies, cooking, partying, going to amusement parks, relaxing on the couch, and spending time with Jason.

A bit of backstory: Daniel is a polar bear who had a troubled life in his mid-20s, he gambled quite a large sum of money and owed quite a large sum in the process. Having made mistakes with his gambling, Daniel started stealing from stores and people to get the money he needed to pay off his debts. He used to not be like this until a friend got him into gambling and it slowly started to take control of his life.

He was close friends with Jason's parents at the time, he would often visit them to spend time with Halle and Thomas. He especially loved seeing Jason, often giving Jason all the attention and doing whatever the 8-year-old wanted. Halle and Thomas were the one family he could never steal from, they were his closest friends and people he highly respected. He especially had a good friendship with Halle as they went to middle and high school together.

Daniel was finally caught and arrested by the police by the time he turned 26. When he was taken in and charged for 13 years, he understood that he has done wrong and wanted to fix his mistakes. What he didn't expect was to have a visit from Halle and Jason, they came back to see him and visit. Halle told him she was disappointed that he didn't ask for help with his problems, but she offered that once he is out of prison he can come and spend time with them. She mentioned that she wants to see him be a better person and to make sure of that she paid off all his debt, that way once he is out he has a clean slate to work with. As that's what best friends do for their friends. She made a joke of maybe Danny can be a good man to Jason when he gets over, take care of him and help him grow to be a fine man.

After 12 years he was released early and allowed to go back to society. He reached out to Halle and met up with her to discuss how life has been since he had been away. He found out that Halle and Thomas divorced a few years after Danny went to jail. Since then, they haven't really connected to Jason the same way they used to, mainly because the two kept busy and didn't spend as much time with him. Halle offered him a job as an electrician as she knew a company that was looking for one. Thanks to her he lands his first job, and she also paid for an apartment for him. To his surprise it was only a block away from Jason's apartment complex, so he decided to visit Jason and reconnect with him.

The two got along well, Jason missed seeing Danny and still feels close to Danny after all those years. Danny decided he would visit and try to be in Jason's life more, he also felt that being around Jason like a fatherly figure could do Jason some good. He felt that it was his way to make things right after all the things his family had done for him, but he also felt happy being there for Jason as he saw him as one of his own. He also enjoyed the fact that Jason seemed to be close to him still, finding that Jason often cuddled up to him when they watched movies or were relaxing. The two had a special relationship with one another.

Danny learned about the digimon that Jason has along with Duke having powers. He listened to Jason explaining about powers and digimon, about where Clyde comes from, and what goes on. Danny took it surprisingly well, stating that life changed a lot since he was in prison. He decided to help Jason out where he can on their little adventures. Often he takes care of the digimon and Clyde when Jason is busy with college work or makes them all food when he is around.
