Here is a kitchen knife I made from a 4 inch section of bearing race metal or 52100.
I made this as a sort of tutorial for a friend who was having a bit of trouble making one similar.
This is was made loosely based off a Japanese chef's knife since my friend will be making one of that type.
I honestly don't care if it is or isn't accurate to one, it's a chef's knife.
Even though I made this as a help-a-friend-out sort of thing, I went ahead and finished it completely and it slices stuff very well.
