Hey all! As some of you might know, I've made a new year's resolution to practice drawing almost every day for a year. I'm starting from basically zero, and I'm really pleased with the progress I've made.

Here are some highlights of the practice work I have done so far. These drawings were all done in January, month 1 of my yearlong journey.

January was mostly focused on practicing different facial expressions and different species. All of the ones shown here except Death from Puss in Boots are OCs that were created just for the sake of practice. I have since developed many of them into more fully-fledged characters that can be found on my toyhouse. I'll be posting their ref sheets here on FA shortly as well.
