Piano Solo: Roundball Rock (NBA on NBC Theme)
Having written my special story entitled "Bring Forth the Thunder," I felt it was only appropriate that I try doing an arrangement of the classic NBA on NBC theme used from 1991 to 2002, entitled "Roundball Rock." Though I am not really a sports fan myself, I do consider this song to be the greatest sports theme ever written. More recently, NBC began using it again during certain coverage of basketball in the Olympic Games, and since 2018, it has also been used as the theme for CBB on FOX (that network's coverage of NCAA college basketball). NBC later brought it back when they were able to start broadcasting NBA games again in 2025.
I did it as a piano solo, however.
