This is my first ever really big piece as well as my first time doing a background! I can't even tell you how long this has taken, I spent hours upon hours on stuff just to erase it and do it over again. Went through over and over at multiple stages before trying to see what else I could change, fix, or add, but eventually, I just started running with things and I am very happy with the end result! Got to try A LOT of new techniques and I understand a lot of my brushes better as well as the program.
Also, debut of Mallene's new weapon! She is primarily a magic user, but I thought it would be awesome to give her a physical extension. In a way, it's kind of a classic pose too, I think.
