A followup to https://www.furaffinity.net/view/51416911/.
After my Eureka of 20 years bit the dust, I was in chat with
EOCostello and 
Walt46.
Browsing the Nextdoor "Free and For Sale" listings, I noted a fellow cat owner a mile or so away was curbsiding a pair of Bissell uprights and a Dust Devil stick vac. So, I hoisted myself mid-chat, went and fetched same, and, the following evening:

"Breeding pair!" (* snerk! *) Can't wait to see the kittens!
50+ years ago, my brother's first job out of trade school was as an auto mechanic. He still remembers one of the 'old-timers' (probably as old as my brother is now) sitting at his workbench with a can of Red Devil Paint, scraping out the name and image of 'Old Scratch'. "I hate dirt and the Devil," the senior mechanic grumbled.
The Kittehs probably couldn't agree more!
