Grendel Winnifred Ref
And finally, as part of this Gobbo Fest, Grendel as jumped in.
I don't have too much for her story either, but she is the mother of my Changeling, Henri (yet again...soon, he will be known to yall~) and a capable fighter in her own right. that glaive in her palms ain't just for show~ (Yes, I'm fully aware that small creatures can't wield weapons like these, but it was badass and I have a Kobold who uses a longbow and a giant badger for support, so..fight me < - <)
She had met his father Heinrich when she mistook him for a Deer, by the antlers he had shape-changed onto his head, and proceeded to shoot him...a misunderstanding cleared up and a bit of time together, the two were smitten...before long, they had married.
One day however, with Henri being around 9 at the time (possibly a little younger), Heinrich had simply...vanished. no word, no message, nothing...he was just gone...the place they had lived in wasn't entirely accepting of any of them either, and this only fueled that, whispers of his leaving being for various reasons: an affair, an argument, whatever shameful reason a man would leave his family.
They angered her, but it was when they directed their words to her child that she'd be needing restraint (there's a mail carrier with some PTSD towards her specifically, that can confirm that); despite this, she loved her son and having him would be enough for her over the years, working hard and looking after him when she was home...
She knows he's somewhere out there though...and she's gonna have one hell of a knuckle sandwich to feed him, when she eventually sees him again, still wearing their wedding ring on her finger to keep herself only for Him.
The story about how I got Grendel is a small chuckle: I had tried to buy a previous adopt from MartyRigz, but they had quickly sold. to make up for that, he had offered to make me a custom Goblin for the same amount, and I couldn't say no to that.
