I wonder if the gun has antigrav effects to be easier to carry, perhaps even uses gravity and lasers to apply kinetic and heat without punching holes in the vehicle or base they seem to be in.

I would compare it to the Opticor from warframe, but i'd suspect that, for design, it has a suppressive fire mode if not full auto lol

I'll be honest, I hadn't really thought about an antigrav effect; as far as canon goes, she's just quite strong. The weapon itself is intentionally unwieldy and fires singular bolts of charged plasma that definitely punch holes in things - she's always on the move so she's rarely in an environment that she cares about preserving, and as an engineer, she's also more than capable of fixing any holes that she didn't really want to make.
