Here is a craft knife I made based on the instructions from the book The Complete Modern Blacksmith by a Alexander G. Weygers.
This knife is mainly used for cutting paper and that thin cardboard material soda boxes and cracker boxes are usually made of.
I deviated from the instructions a tad, because I felt it unnecessary to do two things he described in this book.
The blade of this knife is made from an older circular saw blade, the sort that is a higher carbon steel and not like the modern ones where it's softer or has carbide teeth brazed on.
The handle is made from some of that special wood I got from old wheel barrow handles.
No forging was done in the making of this, mostly grinder work and bench work with files and rasps for the handle
