You're almost right, but our assault weapons ban only applies to center-fire calibers, so it's 100% cali-legal. Otherwise it'd need to have a fixed magazine to be okay here.
As for sight picture, the fursuit head indeed prevents a good cheek weld, so it's more like point-shooting, lol. Still good fun tho ^.^
