"My boyfriend has been pushing me to try my stakes at a sumo tournament. I admit, I am quite strong for a wolf, and I sport a rather physically imposing body. Though I get nervous when too many people watch me...and I worry about slipping up. People won't forget about that. But my boyfriend is rooting for me in this one, and of course, the prize money would get us quite nice dinner. Well.....might as well try and brave this one....I (don't) got this."
Recently I had the blessing from some people from the stable diffusion thread on /trash/ to remake a sumo image into a fully drawn piece. And while I will say I wish I did better with the lines, I chose to stick with it to ensure the image has more humanity in it, rather than leave it as a perfect, but soulless work. Also, I am fortunate to come accross AI prompters that were encouraging me remake AI pics into humanly drawn pieces.
That is the motive behind the project #AIArtRedemption: Putting soul in a soulless work. A more productive and creative way to fight against the dangers of AI art mimicry. But I do have my fair shares of doubts and fears about the project. I always worry that some people would take it too far and make human artists look bad. If you guys heard of the trend "art fixers" on twitter, you would get the idea of how bad a good trend can go. Thats my worst fear when it comes to this whole trend I started.
If people want to fight against the possibility of being replaced by AI artist, my suggestion is to aim for something more productive. Instead of sending death threats against AI artists, or harassing AI artists, they should try and ask these AI artists if they can redraw the piece for them. fix the hands and make it more perfect. Maybe encourage them to pick up the pencil. And if they worry about being considered imperfect with their skills, just reassure them that all artists are usually imperfect when they start. Art is about the human soul, not about the perfection of a piece.

People that use AI to create these images are people that do not want to pay a single cent for Art, or even work for it themselfes. They are the same kind of people that are on Deviantart and just upload stolen Artwork from others to gain likes for their low self esteem.
