This comic assumes that the release date gets pushed back again...
(Heaven forbid!)
I wanted to create a series with this but, after drawin' it, I don't know anymore...
Specifications & Trivia:
•Drawn in Easy Paint Tool SAI.
•Comic was actually drawn about a month ago but I forgot to post it...
•I wanted to base the kid on Duke Nukem.
•I might name these characters and continue this as a series.
•There are no furries in this comic. (That's why it's in scraps...)
Characters are © Alex ''J'' Cleret

Actually it did get pushed back - to June 10 (international) and June 14 (USA). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VFFR-5a-Ko
It's only an extra month wait, but still.
I can so see this happening though, there will be kids who don't know what Duke Nukem is or why the thrill over him (especially considering I don't remember the original game he's from. Don't blame me, I was a Jazz Jackrabbit kid). I imagine an Old Punch really hurts too.

Time for some quick history!
(Sorry for long-ish post...)
Duke's first appearance was in Duke Nukem (later renamed to "Duke Nukum" due to possible legal issues).
The game was build on the Crystal Caves engine and was distributed in 3 episodes (but episode 1 was distributed as Shareware).
The first game was interesting (on a historical standpoint anyways) due to the fact that Duke was fighting a mad scientist (as well as his army of robots) and not aliens...
(Click here for some gameplay footage)
Cue Duke Nukem II!
Duke II featured an updated engine and was also the title that introduced the whole "Duke kicks alien ass" thing.
There isn't much more to say on this one other than it was fun and that it's when Duke really started being the badass that he is!

Cue Duke Nukem 3D!
Now this is the game everyone remembers! (Mostly 'cause Duke kicks ass and chews bubble gum... and he's all out of gum.)
It was in 3D, was super silly, was super violent, had somewhat naked ladies, featured the voice of Jon St. John and was really fun!
After DN3D, there were a few other titles (most of them ports or expansions) but, in my opinion, they were always just place holders for the long awaited for Duke Nukem Forever...

Also, Jazz Jackrabbit rocks my socks :3

Here's my view of it: Duke Nukum Forever, when viewed as a sequel to the other Duke Nukum games, sucks. When viewed separated from the other games, its an ok experience. But sadly, it doesn't live up to Duke Nukum for me. Its basically Halo copy and pasted with a new paintjob, like those freacking Madden and NFL Football games EA keep making. Its boring. Its ok, but boring none the less. It doesn't feel like the Duke. It feels more like the classic 2 weapon loadout, with things that you can find and use that are like small perks. Nothing very entertaining to me.
