The 2.0L turbo in the new Golf R will have about 20 more HP than the 3.2L VR6 in the R32 putting it at around 265HP. It will also weigh a bit less. That said though, I loved the VR6 (hence why I have one) and wish they kept going with it in the R. With any luck, they'll make rumors truth and make the Jetta R which will have the 3.6L VR6 powerplant with 4motion.
