Andreia was feeling as scared as ever. She was an Autosaur, a being that could transform from her dinosaur form to a car form, of which she was currently in her Iguanodon form. She was resting peacefully in her current caretaker's garage, happy to be protected by him. She was having a pleasant dream of driving at the racetrack, racing in her PT Cruiser form, and passing by the other racers left and right. When she was about to pass the current first-place racer, her dream became a nightmare. A storm started to form in the sky, crowds cheering for her started to boo, and before she knew it, the car she had just passed morphed into a car crusher. She was terrified and tried to drive as far away from it as possible, but it was soon catching up, and before it could come down and turn her into a cube of metal, she woke up.
Breathing heavily, she tried to calm herself down, seeing through tear-soaked eyes that she was in her caretaker's garage, which she accidentally destroyed in her sleep. She was relieved that she was OK, but she also felt devastated, feeling so sorry that John would have to clean up her mess again. Her nightmares had been getting worse of late, as it felt that the hunters were patrolling around the area more often, making her too scared to even show her stripe in public anymore, in fear of being noticed by them. When she was about to get up and try to fix some of the damage herself, she heard a familiar voice call to her. She couldn't place who it was, and she hadn't heard from them for a while, but it seemed to be calling to her. Fortunately, she knew it wasn't the Hunters, as it was in the Autosaur language, which they could never speak. After calming herself down, she answered them, speaking in screeches and revs, as that was how the Autosaurs spoke to one another.
After some back and forth between her and the mystery Autosaur, she learned their name was Demon, the legendary Autosaur prototype. Her caretaker John had asked him to contact her, as they had a haven free of the Hunter's reach, where many Autosaurs already lived there. She was ecstatic, and once she got the directions, she morphed into her PT Cruiser form, opened the garage door, and looked back at her caretaker's home one last time before speeding off, ready for the long journey. The journey was tense and dangerous, as she never drove alone before. Even though she usually drove herself, having someone in the driver's seat ensured no one would stare at her. She kept using the back roads to ensure the Hunters couldn't find her, singing along with the songs she loved to sing, sad when she finally went out of range of her favorite radio stations. She did have to go to a gas station once, but fortunately, no one else was around, and there was a poster showing support for the Autosaurs, so she felt safe filling her tank, using some money she kept for emergencies to pay for it. Eventually, she made it to her destination, seeing a dark forested road, and after a quick breath, and a quiet prayer, she drove within, ready to see what this sanctuary was.
She drove for a few hours, scared as she heard rustling around her. Her headlights helped her see, but she still was shaking, not knowing where she was heading. She had run out of gas an hour before, so she couldn't drive as quickly as she would like. As she was about to break down and cry, overwhelmed by everything, she saw a light further down the trail. It got closer and closer, she closed her eyes, accepting her fate when she saw that it was an anthro Spino, with a military outfit and a lamp. He approached her and asked if she was Andreia. She was confused and nodded her hood, wondering what he had planned. The Spino nodded back at her and turned around, beckoning her to follow. She was confused but followed him along the trail, wondering where she was about to end up.
After some more driving, Andreia could see a gate in front of her. It was finally getting brighter for her, the trees becoming less dense, and her conversation with the Spino made her trust him more. Once they got to the gate, the Spino name Doug unlocked it and let her inside, which made her excited again. She thanked him, drove through it, and saw a more magnificent building than ever. Doug told her about his adoptive mother's mansion, but she never expected to see such an impressive home. Doug directed her to the garage, saying someone was waiting for her. She thanked him and morphed into her dino form before entering its big doors. It was already open and looked like a mixture of a mechanic's workshop, a gas station, and a Living Room. It had car lifts for repairs, workbenches and toolboxes, gas pumps for refueling, and even couches with large blanket rugs to lay on and relax. She looked around in awe and quickly went to a pump, drank from the nozzle, and tasted the best gasoline she ever had.
After a few gallons worth, she heard something and turned to see a familiar human. It was John, who displayed a gentle smile toward his friend and welcomed her to his new family's mansion. Andreia was shocked, to say the least, especially when an Allosaurus, fully black in color and rather intimidating in appearance. She felt she recognized him from somewhere, but couldn't place where until he welcomed her into his care. She listened as the same voice that directed her here told her about how this was a safe place for Autosaurs like herself, where she would be cared for and would be around other Autosaurs just like her. Partway into the dino's speech, Andreia started to sniff, tears welling up from how happy she was, and she cried. John and Demon looked at each other and smiled, before walking up to her and comforting her, John with a hug and Demon with some nuzzles and his tail over her back. Andreia cried for a while, so happy that she was at the mansion, but one thing was for sure, she was finally home.
