When the world is falling apart around you, it's the little moments that are important.

Vandelys is having a hard time keeping the navy together when his technical superior decides to make an appearance and ruins all the work he's put in up to now. Meanwhile, Cammy learns that her best friend's ship has sunk with apparently no survivors. The only hope she has that her bff is alive is that the Sending spell connected, and she got SOMETHING back in reply. And so, for a little while the two find some comfort in each other. Cammy braids Vandelys's hair, and Vandelys allows her to dote on him to distract herself, despite the fact that he truly wants to dote on her. He needed a decent meal and some sleep before anything though, and as Cammy settled them both onto his office's settee, it didn't take long for him to fall asleep.
