Serpolla/Hisamaki (ひサマキ)
The Spaghetti Snake Pokemon
Type: Grass/Water
50% male, 50% female
Serpolla achieves locomotion by bouncing on it's coiled up tail. It rarely uncoils it unless it absolutely needs to, such as when molting. The molts it leave behind are considered a flavorful delicacy.
The three heads are often described as a hive mind with a personality. This is because each head shares the same personality, interest, etc.; and all three work together in order to survive.
Often found near bodies of water, it's diet consist largely of aquatic and amphibious pokemon. It's favorite is the meatball frog pokemon, Meabog.
In certain regions, figurines of Serpolla are placed on the porch of a house as a form of blessing. These same regions believe feeding the pokemon Moomoo Milk will bring you good luck.
Serpolla is based on a combination of spaghetti, a dish originating from Italy, and the grass snake, a species of semi-aquatic snakes native to European regions such as Italy. The idea of Serpolla being a house blessing along with the feeding of milk is derived from Latvian and Lithuanian beliefs surrounding the grass snake.
Serpolla is derived from the italian words serpente (snake) and molla (spring). Hisamaki is derived from hiss and うずまき uzumaki (spiral)
RELATED COMMENTARY
This whole thing started from me wanting to make a food themed pokemon. I believe it was originally gonna be a multi-headed snail, with the shell representing the spaghetti pile, but I chose to instead make it a snake, turn the shell into a coil, and flip it upside down
Not mentioned above is it's signature move "Sauce Shot" (name may change), a grass-type special attack that may inflict burns.
I have no clue what to do with Meabog in terms of the design, though I do have a couple of general ideas on how I want it to look. Either way, look foward to seeing it in the future.
