Ok here goes... Johny M. is a washed up guitarist druggard, living in a van down by the river. One day while browsing a thrift store, JM finds an incredible deal, a very rare guitar. Later he finds that whenever he plays the guitar, he comes in contact with its previous owner, a dead heavy metal star. After JM helps the dead head get his revenge, they set off to help other unsettled spirits make their peace. Think of it like Scooby Doo...with murder, Drug use, and homo-erotic ghost sex.

Actually, I have the comic comic series for the crow, and its nothing like it. The crow had no ghosts in it per se, nor was there any rock and roll theme to it, other than a few elements that were inspired by muscians that O'barr was a fan of, such as the paint and the poses that the Crow took. And he wasn't out helping anyone, simply going to take out he and his girlfriend's murderers...i really dont see ANY similarities between the two...could you please elaborate on your comment inferring that this was supposed to be the crow?
well i only saw the movie, the series i thought was not as well written. One of the Lee sons was in the movie. HE WAS A ROCK GUITARIST. (my version of a post does not support italics so i'm not yelling) he was finally going to play in a concert that there was going to be a record dealer at and he was going to sign a contract and finally make it big. then he got home to find some dudes he never had seen before about to rape his girlfriend so he tried to stop them though later that night his band was wondering what happend to him why he did not show up. the reason he did not show up was because the rapists threw him out of a 12th story window then raped his girlfriend anyway. They wanted everyone to move out of the building so an evil Donald Trump could tear it down and build his big multi-billion dollar office buildings and condos. i can elaborate further since i saw the movie only once nearly all the way through, but several times in excepts. i did not see the ending. As for the comic being different i hardly think it is my fault so your accusation is groundless. i am not the screenwriter nor am i in any way related to anyone that even made the movie, and, i never worked on it either! So i do not understand why you are being so hostile to me.
Now since i am on that point why are you accusing me?

I would just like to say, that i wasn't accusing you of anything, i was asking what your grounds were for accusing Rip of ripping of of the Crow. You literally said it was the Crow: "Wasn't that the series that was called umm hmm can't think of it oh yeah the crow?" I think you missed the point that i was making....other than the fact that they were both rockstars, what does the crow have to do with Johnny Medium?
i have my character with a stratocaster flying v also, amazing coincidence don't you agree? then i said it reminded me of the 'movie' the crow. I first made reference to it (the flying v) several months ago. then a few days ago, then i drew my character with it on his back then there is Johnny Medium, also a horse being. that was the 'amazing coincidence'.
well, first of all, i said nothing about your character or anything of the nature....i was inquiring as to the above quoted comment, where you blazantly said that it was supposed to be The Crow. But I think i see where some of the confusion lies. The Flying V was a Gibson guitar, which is the one portrayed in this picture. I don't know what you guitar you are referring to, as Stratocaster typically refers to the Fender Stratocaster (another beautiful guitar, BTW.) Maybe you could clear this up and please answer my original question: What relevant similarity is there between Johnny Medium and The Crow? and also, what was your reason for bringing up your character? That wasn't even the subject of discussion here.
sorry my mistake on the gibson versus stratocaster. the fellow pictured is a Rhiaxian, albeit a horse in anthromorphic 'furry' nomenclature. i only made a reference to the 'crow' due to the similarities of the movie i remember. the fact that i have in several instances stated though erroneously, that my character uses a weapon that is shaped like a flying v, albeit gibson guitar, it is a unique weapon in the way it is used. I created this weapon nearly a decade ago before i knew Furries even existed. it was not my aimn to infuriate so many by my words but to somehow, (pointedly in the disimination through exempli gratia of my primary character in my RPG.)
oh all my characters in my game only Marcus Raidien Tsunami had a guitar. i noted the simularies in this one being a equine character, two have=ing a guitar a few days after i finally posted a picture of mine. and three though unrelated directly to my character this story line is extremely similar to the 'movie' version of the Crow with i think Jason Scott Lee? anyway he was killed with a real bullet someone placed into the prop gun during shooting. The above quoted comment is why this has extended into this argument, despite your attempt to sidetrack what i was talking about and was making the attempt to be as vague and polite as possible in the referenced regard. So who is the creator of 'Johnny Medium', you or the posting artist? because you seem to be accusing though not stating as such in you continuing rebuttals. You must be political, you state what i do not say out of context, you derive accusation in the form of reference and prosecution similar to the New York Times journalist on the Libby jury who is now writing a book on the 'guilty verdict'.
i refuse to give up what i intended to stae i inferred that there was a case of similarity here that was perhaps coincidence or what? You will not get more from me. i refuse to play the game of defense with liberal democrats. Your continued prosecution of my words paints you as one of these, ...*expletive* Sandy Berger prefigurations.

ok...that's enough. I'm all about giving people the benefit of the doubt, but i think this just about does it. So there's no confusion, I will quote you. "perhaps coincidence". I really don't know much about you, nor do I care, but it really aggravates the hell out of me for someone to say that my work "perhaps" is not my own. I'll be honest, I could go on for a long time about how extremely different that the character Johnny Medium is different from Eric Draven, any other embodiment of the Crow character, and the actor (Brandon Lee) who portrayed him in the 1994 film, The Crow. I personally don't need to justify the origin of my characters, and I really don't care if there was a coincidental similarity to the picture you were speaking of. The problem that I have, is a scathing and poorly written response directed at not only one of my works, but a close personal friend. To put the subject to rest, Johnny Medium is NOT a horse. He is a donkey, and has a REASON for owning the guitar. I have and need no further justification for the character. As for the scathing remarks that you attempted to make, it was uncalled for, and unappreciated. Not at any point was a negative comment made toward or at you. this all started with an inaccurate and tactless comment. I asked for an explanation and was met with hostility and indirect accusations that I had stolen creative property. please end this thread now. please make no more hostile and demeaning remarks. If this is not done, I will have to report further transgressions to the moderator.
oh i apologize then, the figure looked so much like a horse - being. i did quite a few that are zebras though have different stripe colorations, even Chris Sawyer thought i had done a 'nice horse' as he posted the comment. Since then i have called other non horse equines by nicknames such as the 'pony' character. So once again sorry and i apologize. goodbye i won't comment on anything you ever do again, goodbye.
