Hey guys, so after a lot of thinking, I've decided to move my art channel in a new direction. Instead of the lewd art I typically do, I'm going to be focusing on crunchy lo-fi music, featuring a multitude of cheap Casio keyboards from the late 80's and early 90's I find at yard sales/thrift stores as my tools. This is an example of one track I've been working on, named as a tribute to the Casio SA-20 keyboard (all sounds in this song were tones generated solely from the SA-20).
Released in 1990, the SA-20 has 32 keys, 100 tones, and 4 note polyphony all packed into a small and lightweight build capable of running on 5 AA batteries. While there are plenty of note options, most have a compressed sound to them, likely being lower bitrate to fit onto the chip. This, however, gives the SA-20 a unique "crunchy" effect with its tones that I find amusing and fitting for lo-fi style songs.
