In latin yes... but I don't think the author ment lynx rufus but lynx lynx. So I'm just curious.

I have never understood why Bobcat is Bobcat in English instead of Red Lynx :/

looks Lynx to me, bobcats arent nearly as fluffy the tail might be a bit long for her, it's hard for people who dont connect with them to get that right, I have had to correct a couple of artists that draw me with a long tail XD

Lynx's cat looks like a paintbrush dipped in black paint... this one looks more like a bobcat's tail, so I'm a bit confused.

the flow of the skirt is beautifully painted. I love lynx's too! I've always had a weird fascination with them since mum showed me a very very old lynx fur coat she had (she has since given it up to whoever it is has all those fur coats these days in the UK). I should draw more, I was amazed at how small they were after seeing them at the zoo too.

There's a disruption of the color above her girdle, most likely some problem with the scan D:
Except for that she looks really lovely. It's a shame indeed they are so rare in art, but it's
an even bigger shame how their population decreases in wildlife.

that's the scan. I had to do it in two parts and when I pasted it together the colour was off. Grrr. I have no idea how to fix it to my great frustration.

Well ... there are professional scanners for big formats but they are rather expensive =/

You could take a digital picture of the entire work and then crop out the extra around the edges. That would certainly work for displaying your larger works here (or anywhere else online, for that matter).
