A page of a comic I started and may not finish staring Emu and Caspian the tern.
The big mechanical fella there is a bus gryphon, huge quadrupedal robots with jet engines on their rumps like A-10 Thunderbolts, wings of crystal feathers, clear and very strong, and a cozy public transit grade interior space for hauling people or cargo about. Normally they would have body faring to smooth out the beak and body parts and hide all the now exposed mechanical bits but K208 is one of the very last of them that is even able to move so replacement parts to make it pretty again are hard to come by.
