Sometimes memories come over me, swirl and I drown in them. There are so many of them that they block out the weak light and destroy everything in their path.
I miss you. All of you. Often. I admit it. I never deserved you and I'm sure you're much better off without me. I'm sorry that I couldn't handle the disease, that the monsters were stronger than me. I've long needed to work through this pain, to outgrow it, but I can't. And I admit it.
I was a bad friend.
It's a good thing you left me.
