Paper Ariel - Game Over [2023]
Ariel has been spotted on different video games, they suffer bugs and weird behavior once she shows up, most reports mention the tiger girl devouring the main character sending players to an inescapable game over screen. They can't leave it unless they reset the system.
Here's a screenshot taken from Paper Mario
The person who sent this report as well as the screenshot of this happening states the following:
I was playing Paper Mario on my Nintendo Switch since it was added on the Expansion Pack, I was messing with it to see if I could spot any peculiar bugs unique to this version, so I could report it, so maybe Nintendo could improve the emulator, so far I didn't find anything odd, until I reached Yoshi's Island, then I saw what seemed to be a glitching texture on the distance, I tried to take footage of it, but the Switch didn't allow me for some reason.
Then I decided to get closer and the texture fixed itself, but there was still something odd there, behind the bush that was glitching there was an NPC I never saw before, she seemed to be different from the other characters since she had a very different art style, I thought it could be a left over from a previous prototype or something, I wasn't aware of the changes between earlier versions and the released one.
I got closer and closer, I didn't notice it at first but now recalling it I can say that the music began to get louder and louder as I approached this weird NPC, she seemed to be some sort of tiger girl with red hair, green eyes and a metal ring on her tail, not something very "Super Mario", in fact she seemed more akin to a modern Sonic character, and once I was on proximity to talk to her, her expression changed suddenly to some sort of smug smile.
I tried to speak to her, but she just made a silly ""Mreow" noisy, kinda cute to be honest, so I didn't take it seriously, it was a little funny even, so I tried again and this time she got in attack position, I jumped to see if I could land her the first strike but oddly enough Mario just fell at the side of her, like when you jump to an NPC, "so, is she an NPC?". The answer was no, she swiped her claw towards Mario and did 1 of damage, I tried to hit her with my hammer, but it still didn't have any effect on her, she then swiped her claw again and this time she did 5 of damage, I enter on panic.
I began to run away from her as she chased Mario down, I entered the next room on the area but as the screen faded to black I noticed she grabbed my partner which was Goombario and shoved him inside her maw with extreme ease, I was shocked, specially once the next screen loaded, and he wasn't with me anymore, instead Bombette was following me, right after the tiger girl came right behind me, forcing me to run to the next room again, and the same thing happened to Bombette.
Soon I was left without partners and cornered as there wasn't any more rooms to run to, no NPCs to talk to, no enemies, it was only me and her. She began to walk instead of running, with that stupid face and with her big belly sloshing around with the remains of my partners, she stood in front of Mario as he had a face of pure horror, she swiped once again after a little while doing 999 of damage, it was proof that she was just toying with me from the beginning, Mario fell down and the screen went to black.
Once in the Game Over screen I was able to see Mario on the spotlight as usual, but the tittle screen didn't boot, instead, the tiger girl entered the room from the right, sat in front of Mario and began to swallow him whole like she did with the rest of the cast, once she was done she laid back and with her eyes closed, enjoying her meal, stomach noises coming out of her massive belly, I did everything I could to get off that screen in vain, I tried to reset the game from the options menu of the Switch, but it just crashed the game.
I booted up the application again and started playing Paper Mario again, now the weird texture nor the tiger were anywhere to be seen, I'm not sure what I witnessed, thankfully I was able to take a screenshot of the Game Over screen, so people can see that I'm not making this up, has anyone ever seen this tiger girl? It's such a weird thing to have in a Nintendo game, specially a kid's game like Paper Mario, so I don't think this is intentional, or it's a very well hidden and a very odd Easter egg, that's for sure.

Seems like they won the game, I couldn't think of a better ending. (You should do a part 2 where she comes out of the tv and eats the player next). Also There was actually a kind of creepy glitch that would keep happening in the N64 in one area. It crashed but there was text on the screen.
I would feel it funner if when you restart the system you get isakei'd. You can choose any game from that point, and she will stalk ya before giving an MUCH MORE permanent game over, as you could be anyone, a zora from Twilight Princess, A lizalfos from Breath Of The Wild, Space Pirate Rundas from Metroid, An federation trooper from valkyria chronicles
(in which case she would have her own gun)
Rifle ; high damage, medium range, bad against armor and treads, 5 to 7 shots
Submachine Gun: High Damage at close range, close range to CQC, can hold down camps when 2 shocktroopers (submachine gunners) hold it down, 35 shots to 50 shots
Sniper Rifle ; Zooming in increases accuracy, high accuracy to begin with, headshots ignore the defense bonus of crouching behind sand bag, some models are anti tank rather than anti personnel (which are rarer) but only has 3 shots make 'em count.
Lancer ; An bulletproof lance that's highly inaccurate but does major damage to armor and personnel, which just like the sniper only has 3 rounds,
Engineers Pack
Running against allies and tanks resupplies them, they have much stronger first aid, come with a basic scouts rifle for self defense, and can repair tanks, set traps, and disarm enemy mines.
Whichever she picks I'm goin' scout (rifle at the top) to run away. Being a shocktrooper or engineer would mean being weighed down by armor or gear, then again Ariel could give herself 1st command status giving her team 4 extra Command Points per phase and just beeline towards me as a scout and scomf me down and run to evac and let several more reinforcements take over.

Im guessing there would be 2 outcomes if you managed to wind up bombette for an explosion
1.goes off in her face, she get ash covered but wipes herself off and catches Bombette in her mouth when she comes falling down from the sky.
2. Bombette explodes in her stomach only for it to only result in a momentary swelling of her gut followed by a big smoke belch.

Huh... You know... I experienced a similar oddity.
I have a video file of it. Here's the link:
