Sakchai is the first person to be a part of Liuxing's group and they quickly became ride or die friends. And I mean that with Liuxing and Sakchai constantly sparring and joking around with each other with Sakchai being one of the first (only behind Big Wang) to help Liuxing when he was going through drama and self-reflection/improvement. It should also be noted that Sakchai's and Liuxing's adventures around The Immortal's domain was the reason why Liuxing met his other friends and romantic interest too (along with him encouraging Liuxing to build his relationship with her).
Sakchai is an experienced Muay Thai and Krabi Krabong practitioner but the power he inherited from his teachers is his most notable aspect. Philosophy transforms into power and power manifests, fighters from Sakchai's school enter a bargain where demons are given a chance to take their souls in exchange for restoring their vitality and giving them extra strength/powers/abilities. The closer they are to death then the closer those demons are to taking their souls, the power exchanged is proportional. Activating this power heals them to restart the process over and over again. This makes Sakchai fearless in almost all confrontations and allows him to burn his opponents down as he turns his damage into pure advantage. The only downside being that this power must be consciously activated and that this power manifests as flames that burns the users soul and body into nothingness once enlightenment is reached.

For your first question, I'm actually not sure. I have a vague idea of what my characters colors are but I've always visualized them in black and white like in my artwork.
Ah, they met when Liuxing and his uncle were taking their route to The Immortals domain! They saw a group ganging up on a person(Sakchai) and Liuxing intervened. He wouldn't have known that Sakchai was allowing them to wail on him to charge up his power but after explaining that Liuxing still offers Sakchai to travel with him just in case. After some drinking and conversation, we know that Sakchai and Liuxing are both going to the same destination but for different reasons. Liuxing's late father's death had connections to The Immortals and Sakchai was tasked by his country's king, Thai Sa, to deliver a message to a member of The Immortals and to fight as a representative of the Ayutthaya kingdom. So it is sort of shared but Liuxing is a bit more involved. I'd also say they are traveling partners too! Them exploring The Immortals domain was how Liuxing meets his other friends and even love interest.
