In this last chapter of the Salha-Kar we explain the technology of this race. While some people might find this topic to be rather uninteresting we strongly recommend to read it still. There are some specifics to this race that needs clarification to fully understand their beliefs as well as society to an extend. This could help to engange in conversations with the Salha-Kar or at least prevent certain problems in that regard.


Space Military: The Power of the Spacefleet of the Salha-Kar cannot be overstated. If the ground forces are the shield one could describe the spaceships and stations as the sword that slices through any foe that dares to challenge them. They are called "Stella Victoris" or Conqueres of Stars. A strong emphasis lies in the shields of these powerful vessels and can withstand pain but also inflict it back to others. The battleships in itself are religious symbols of both dominance and peace. Pirates are swiftly dealt with smaller craft like corvettes and frigates that are the backbone of the space military. They have a sort of elegance and might in their ship design as well suggesting again on its religious importance. As with everything in the military of course there are only informations about it from the government itself so it cannot be confirmed how strong they are really. Stilll their strong military presence in society as a whole suggests they are ready for each and every fight that may come in the future.

Ground Military: While the space forces of military wing of the Salha-Kar have elegance and even religious importance the ground forces itself are different in terms of tactics, design, machines and even staff. There are basicaly two factions here that play an important role to form a united ground military. On the one side there are AI Tanks, Drones and Aerocraft which form the backbone and numbers of the ground forces. The other side are highly specialized task force groups which all use Mechs or rather "Eques Errantes" – Wandering Knights as they call them. There are so many different types of these big warmachines as there are different tactics and roles to be played on the modern battlefield. They may lack the elegance of their space counterparts but the shield of this military wing doesnt shy away to make their hands dirty to fulfull their roles as protectors of the Salha-Kar.

Civillian Tech: Some might argue if this race has such a big emphasis on its military then the civilian side may lack in some areas but this isnt the case. To rely on such a strong military there also needs and even stronger economy and wealth for its civilians. A mining vessel needs to be as good in its job as a fighter after all if it needs to fulfilll its role. In the society of this race there are no expanses spared if its for the best of all its people. Expansive research and medical facilities grant the best health benefits for all. While there many different technologies available there is but one that is strongly forbidden to even attempt to do and that is clone tech. Its a heretical thing to even suggest what it might even bring to the society. They would describe it with the following sentence, „Ex nihilo nihil fit“ or translated to "Nothing comes from nothing". In their belief they are formed from the sands, or ashes, of their world and on the day of their death they willl become again ashes. To form a life from something this unnatural is heresy. Because of that they have a rather strong stance against cloned people of other empires.

AI and Synthetics: Religion and technology are not always friends some would say and for the Salha-Kar it may seem that way also as explained in the last topic about cloning. But its interesting to see how open minded they are on the topic of artificial intelligence. In fact its one of their greatest strengths and assets in their society and star empire. Self learning as well as feeling AI programms are used in all parts of their society. They work and walk alongside their creators. In the millitary, as described already, they form the backbone of the ground forces and are very resilient against hacking attempts. On the civilian side they can range from domestic drones, mining robots or artistic and recreational androids. They are used extensive and while some experts argue if the AI in itself could choose to be independant from their creators right now they work together for a better future for both the created and the creators. So dont be surprised if you see these synthetic beings on almost all stations and worlds of the Salha-Kar and rather be open minded and talk to them if you have the time.
