Kana’Way was born the chiefs daughter of her tribe, the Stone Skin tribe (native language, Hemerean tribe). All her life, all she has ever known is the way of her people. Do not disturb the land, be at peace with those in your life unless your survival calls for war. Live not in wastefulness, and respect your elders and ancestors as respect is due. Among other laws that the tribe follow to maintain their way of life.
All of Kana’Way’s life she has been taught and raised up to take over for her father as chief, being that she is the eldest of two siblings. She has learned to hunt and fight, care for children, as well as herself, and she is nearly old enough to go on her first Shashir hunt and earn her place as a full fledged warrior of the Hemerea.

Sashir- a great antlered beast with fangs like a wolf, the face of a fox, a long whip-like tail with a scythe on the end, paws as big as lions, and hind legs like a horse. It stands 19 hands tall at the shoulder, and is an elusive creature, one that hides in the mountains. It is said that it lives off of dew drops and moss, but is an opportunistic carnivore that will eat meat if the prey is easy to catch and kill.
