When I moved to Union City for the first time, I was blown away. I'd never seen anything so vast... so alive...
No city back home could compare.
But I was also scared and alone. A whole world away from home. Literally.
I could not relate to any of the humans - or even other Eternans, for that matter. My English didn't help, either.
Regret sat in immediately. I questioned if this move was a mistake - a lot. I was so close to going back home and giving up...
Then one day... Vixen appeared.
Vixen was the coolest person I'd ever met, and still is. Strong, sexy, dangerous - she had it all.
She showed me the world. She showed me how to be brave and confident and never let anyone strike me down.
My regrets and anxiety disappeared. I became a creature of the night, just like her.
Even in this strange land, I knew I was living life better than I ever did back home. I never wanted it to end.
Then one day, she disappeared.
Confused - and more than a little distraught - I struggled to find her.
It didn't take too long, but when I did... she was a human! She was living a double life!
Vixen, this mysterious creature of the night, was suddenly a corporate office worker named... Dempsie?
Never before had I seen her so vulnerable and scared. She begged me, almost with tears, not to tell anybody.
Of course, I'd never do that. I would honor her wishes and allow her to live life the way she wanted. She's my best friend, after all.
It's only been a few months, but I miss all the fun we had. So many questions I know I'll never get the answer to.
Hopefully she's living her best life.
