The River Hunter Clan has many unique musical instruments but nothing beats De N'ui Tunk' ule / the Big Drum .
De N'ui Tunk'ule is made out of dried wood and animal skin , it's tied up with thin rope strings , the hollow inside provides a loud sound and depending on how tight the head of the drum it tunes it.
Details :
The drum's paterns are based either on the individual's desires or picture different stories , battles , wildlife , constellations , historical events and hunting scenes . Usually played during summer solstice rituals or other yearly celebrations, most families have their own drum that is made by all members, it's a patient process as it takes several days but all members enjoy it.

• Most kids enjoy the making progress and love helping their parents since the drum one day will be passed on to them after they complete their Rites of Passage
• Learning to play the drum it's an easy process and can take up to a month
• Musicians often trades these with near by clans or tribes
• If a drum gets damaged the family will burn it during the Umililo Ami celebration and make a new one the following week
• The skin used for the head of the drum is from very common animals
• The trunk used for the base is from water trees near the river since they are hollow and doesn't need much care after completion
