Just a random drawing not related to my setting, and with modern clothing too for once!
You know how cheetahs in captivity are often paired with a dog for emotional support? Well, I don't think I've seen that dynamic in anthro form before, so I had to do it! Say hi to yet another couple of characters (who will probably be abandoned almost immediately), Anxious Cheet and Support Doggo! I'm too tired to think of proper names now. XD
In any case, they are best friends forever, and Support Doggo is always ready to help his much more introverted friend.
And yes, those are top surgery scars on the cheetah, because why not? It's not something I have the chance to draw often, since most of my works take place in ancient settings, so I took advantage of this opportunity ^^

No clue how it works for bulls and goats, but cheetahs are extremely skittish animals who get scared easily. The dog is generally more friendly and outgoing, and when the cheetah sees their dog friend being all calm and happy it realizes there's no danger and feels much more relaxed.
Seeing as they are both sentient and humanoid not to mention wearing clothes, I don’t think this is a zoo in the normal sense lol. I just had the strange thought of the two of them being in an alien zoo and being on display like how animals would be in a zoo in real life. The big differences is that since they are sentient the aliens would have to care for them a lot more than it would otherwise be necessary if they were just animals. As the picture implies, this leads to them having to regard the mental well-being of the zoo people. Also, perhaps the surgery scars were from the aliens removing parasites or putting in electronic sensors to monitor their bodily health?
Aw, poor cheety!
Cheetahs seriously need hugs, and he's got the friend to give him those and a way out and away from stressors.
And, oh, I even see them as top scars until you pointed them out as such; your art style made them look like contours to me. And now my head is filled with more/other reasons he has an anxiety disorder, and all more reasons for him to have hugs.
Rather appropriate timing for you to make a post-op trans character; the 31st was Trans Day of Visibility.

They need all the hugs! ... though they may be overwhelmed by them :P
I didn't make them too visible because I figured they'd be pretty much invisible with the fur covering them as well. In fact, I think they'd be even more hidden if I wanted to be realistic.
Yeah, that is one of the reasons! I was quite busy the past week though

As someone with social anxiety, this means the world to me. It's a nice bit of representation. The form my emotional support dog varies, but it's still the same idea. It's one of those 'even if it seems hard, there are those who will help' affirmative posts that really need to be out there more often <3
