A lot of my characters are born out of challenges or ideas, so a sad number of them don't have back stories or even solid personalities. And some artists work best when they are given not just visual references but some kind of narrative to help form the mood and atmosphere surrounding a character. Serena has one of my richer back stories, and is consistently building up. And 
Carniscorner was able to take that narrative behind my Lynx Priestess and just soar with them, creating a piece that kinda epitomizes her narrative and personality.
