My alien lass, Veris.
She works in transporting 'odd' cargo with a specialization in identification and handling some of the exotic creatures that wind up in the hold. She spends most of her time in the cargo area, finding organizing and maintaining order of the items to be therapeutic. Having a lack of eyes but high sensitivity in other areas, she prefers familiar spaces or smaller rooms and prefers to stay on the ship over spending time in stations.

As an oddity herself, dealing with creatures is much more appealing than other aliens including some of the crew.
