In hindsight, perhaps a rather obvious pun, but the only other place I'd heard it up till now was out of the mouth of Boris Badenov (who might have been disguised as a baker at the time, I don't remember).

I keep seeing stuff about this show, and finally watched the first episode up to the cliffhanger when some evil moon pony appears. It wasn't bad, but it didn't seem like something to merit all the drawings and macros and things that I keep seeing pop up everywhere. Does it pick up later or is it just not my kind of show?
It definitely picks up later. I suggest jumping to episode 5, "Griffon the Brush-Off"; that's got some good stuff in it (including Pinkie Pie chasing Rainbow Dash in a rather Pepe Le Pew-esque fashion).
