"The best achievements are worth repeating."
— Sky Lynx's motto.
Here is an fan-art of that one and only humble, kind-hearted, battle-hardened, magnificent and highly skilled heroic Autobot Lieutenant Commander with an pompous (and amusing) ego who has the well fitting nickname of "Commander Modesty." from the third season of The Transformers, Sky Lynx! He was voiced by the late-great Aron Kincaid, who also lent his voice to two Allicons, Klementia, one of the Sweeps, Brutish Zamojin and Dr. Mark Morgan. Kincaid's portrayal of Sky Lynx gives him a well cultured British accent, hence why Sky Lynx uses the word "gentlemen" in the episode "Webworld", where he took notice of the Decepticons arriving. His name is sometimes spelt as "Skylynx" or "Sky-Lynx".
An loyal Autobot with many skills and victories to his credit, Sky Lynx is an one-of-a-kind when it comes to Autobots due to his unusual but unique look (being a Transformer with an space-shuttle alt-mode and three beast modes as his robot modes), with him being capable of transforming into either a dinobird, a lynx, a space shuttle or his main Dinoblast mode (his main robot mode). He is also a skilled space explorer and an aerial ace, with that being his duty before joining the conflict later on in the year 2006 (2010 for the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity). Like various of characters who did not get to appear in the show's fourth and final season, his fate in the American G1 cartoon continuity was left unknown due to him last being seen getting affected by the Hate Plague by an Hate Plague-infected Rodimus Prime and ended up crashing through a glass window, not worth helping matters that his voice actor Kincaid quit the show after the show's third season, which sadly meant Sky Lynx did not get to participate in the events of the show's fourth and final season, though he likely did get better off-screen. In the Japanese G1 cartoon continuity, his adventures continued (such as becoming a combiner, though at the cost of losing the ability to split between two different modes) until the year 2050 when Volcamputron/Volcaticon paralyzed him with a blast from Scattershot's cannon, but sadly, this also meant that Sky Lynx's fate after those events were left unknown as he did not appear again. He also is not a Dinobot, so do not remind him of that or do not remind him of the day Six-Gun had him and the Dinobots on trial.
His arch-nemesis is commonly Predaking (and by extension, the Predacons), although the Marvel comics continuity did not pit him against his foe (which is due to the fact that Predaking only appeared in one story in the US Marvel comics continuity (similar to how they treated Abominus and Menasor like this) and the fact that Sky Lynx did not appear in the continuity until 1988, after his toy was discontinued), though he did survive the comic continuity's Underbase saga.
Made with Paint.net on the 17th of December 2022. As I made use of one of his character models, he was quite the challenge (being a magnificent fellow, this certainly was the case) to tackle with, but unlike Rippersnapper, I made it in one day. Minor tweaks were made to it on the 21st of December 2022.
In loving memory to Aron Kincaid.
