It's less that and more their legs are too powerful and will launch themselves into a hop so when they want to slow down they have to use their hands and tail to crawl

If it means I could have the fun of tail balancing as a roo, I wouldn't mind doing that first and then asking how I'll get back down later! Unfortunately, real kangaroos can only tail balance very briefly when they're kicking, right?
