River Hunter Clan / The Death Howler -Dhi'ki-de Pahe-a sheet
The Dhi'ki-de Pahe-a " Death Howler" is a very fearsome instrument not for celebration but for war . The River Hunter Clan is very font of it and the story behind its reputation and name.
Uses: the Death howler is similar to Earth's Aztec - Death whistle, before a battle you must struck fear into the enemy thus the Howler comes in hand. With sound resembling the scream of a Yautja it's an "unholy " sound and humans aren't the bravest ...
Story: thousands of years ago the Feral Clan were at war with the Jungle Hunter Clan , back then technology was still evolving so most warriors needed to make their enemies fear them , with an old legend of a haunted tribe that died during the "dark season " their "screams " would be heard from the jungles so the Ferals run away. As the years passed many tribes and clans took on the idea for the Whistles and so. But now it's only used at the war against humans .
The Callers :
To become a "Caller" takes courage, you must be a Blooded or Elite warrior to earn it, it's all about bravery, stealth and maybe loving the old Yautja folklore.
Varieties:
• Dhi'ki-de Pahe-a is the most common, with the shape of Yautja's head made out of clay and wood
• The Kiande amedha Awat is a very particular whistle, the sound is similar to a Xenomorphs screech and its made out of tjau'ke
• The Vy'drach T'anik is also a very unique instrument with the sound of a Vy'drach's call and made out of wood
Structure:
Similar to the Music Horn except only the top fangs are for tune changes, with interior made of different shaped chambers makes different in sound and volume (of course depending on the Whistle type too).
Facts :
• A'achti has the Kiande amedha Awat and used it once to divert a small pack of Xenomorphs that were near the Clan's territory
• Most Elite warriors of the Clan have many in their disposal
• Ayya is making most of them
• Children of the Clan have common training whistles to mimic the adults
