Contest entry for Qhu109 of their character, Candy Dino Mascot! Candy Dinos are an original species that is a hybrid of dinosaurs, rabbits, and dragons. They emerge every Halloween for candy but cannot be seen before or afterward. I decided that since the pose was boring, I was gonna try to add a more complex background. (This was supposed to be a test pose for drawing the character, but I ended up not wishing to change the pose too much since I liked how the details looked.) In this case, I drew the character standing in front of a house at dawn. (The ground and house are supposed to be shadows, by the way, which is why I didn't make them too detailed.) First time in a long time drawing the exterior of a house! The last time I drew one was around 2013-2014.
Also, this is an example of a clean-lined sketch with lined details. Something like this would be about ~$10-$16 extra. The background would be around $15-$25 extra, as well, due to the complexity. The character itself would be about $15 extra due to the complexity of the designs. The lines are less carefully drawn than I would've done it long ago but this is because I did it in less than a few days + I did it without a sketch underneath—I simply jumped straight to the lines. If I had more time and did a sketch underneath, as I would during a commission, the lines would be a lot neater! If you're interested in a commission, something like this would be about $70-$96 USD.
