...and this is what he looks like on the inside! :3 In spite of how it may seem, Aelius can, indeed, fully retract his tongue into his mouth. Before you say "Ahahaha! His tongue is larger than his brain!"...Lemme ask you this: Can the tongue solve complex logic problems and remember all of the animals in the ecosystem, along with which ones hate being pestered the most? Thought so! Don't underestimate the size of an aardwolf's brain. ;) Despite being in the hyena family, aardwolves don't have many "cheek" teeth! Only a pawful of premolars and a couple of useless molars that will probably just fall out anyway, like they did with Aelius, here. He's got a full bite of canines and incisors, though. :3 But who really needs all those extra teeth when you've got a monster of a tongue that's exceedingly skilled at grabbing things and swallowing them!

Each layer of Aelius' anatomy was magnificently crafted to all fit wonderfully together, while still looking awesome on their own! I'm a huge sucker for anatomy profile views, and this one impressed me very much! <3 It's been heavily on my mind ever since I commissioned it.
