Hmmmm, I like this interpretation. I feel like my ideal look for the Venlil would either be a mix of the dominant style you draw them in with that style in the one meme picture of Slanek sending his mom a picture with the humans, lol.
Or the white venlil drawing you did. I can't figure out what size though, I don't know ow if I scrubbed the information already but I would think they don't come above the Hips of most humans.

Venlil have something of a canonical look, and it's basically my design, but the tail does not have a puff - search for "Jimik" on the subreddit, it's supposed to be Jimek, and it was commissioned by the story author
And, they are canonically about a head and half shorter than the average human, reaching up to middle-chest or shoulders, before you count the ears. An adult venlil is about the size of a human teenager
