This is being posted mostly as a reference as to my starting point in this medium. It's almost a laughable attempt, but oh well. I've scrimshawed once, and it was a number of years ago (traditional method on a piece of bone). This one is on plastic designed for scrimshaw, and instead of traditional tools I used a Dremel with an engraving bit.
I have a whole bag of these to play with, so expect more! I think I'm going to experiment with more traditional tools...the Dremel works fast, but I can't get the detail I'd like, even with as small a bit I was using.
