Delilah and Vera met by accident, as Vera was testing how long she could hide in a shadow before feeling significant strain, and Delilah just happened to see her pop out of the shadow and stop the timer. From there the two talked, and Delilah began to reawaken something long buried in Vera, something Vera liked. The two share a certain desire to travel, even if Delilah has a much lesser desire, and Vera's was suppressed by corruption. Delilah finds it fun seeing if she can help get this "other vera" back in the corrupted body, and Vera finds the experience intriguing. This led to them becoming fast friends, and close friends, often seen together in Vera's room whenever Delilah is back. They are in sync enough to raise their wings at the same time, and mess with anyone who intrudes on their bonding time, with one hypnotic wing and one shadow
