The scales that brought new life to the villain Primeval did not simply appear on their own; this magical material was harvested from the V'sori's first encounter with Saurians, the dominant race of the Primal Realm. It's a wonder that they were able to bring such a beast down as easily as they did, considering the monster Car'Kass had been made into with that power. Even so, the V'sori aren't the type to waste any part of a conquest, making the corpse into an exceptionally powerful drone to serve their will. He was made into a failsafe of sorts, for when the inevitability of Primeval's escape would occur... the loss of his scales enabled a dark power to manifest within, the power to disintegrate and consume matter in an attempt to replace what was lost. He would become a beast meant to hunt other monstrosities: a Monstruvore.
