I like your idea thar Eostre appears as an anthropomorphic Hare-Doe. Easter always appeals to me because it's one of the few holidays with an anthropomorphic animal "Mascot."

Well, if you may belive the speculations about this deity, she was depicted as a woman with a rabbits head way back as a spring/fertility goddes in celtic-germanic times. She more or less kept her shape under the new management.

Yes! I had to look up information about the goddess and there was a link about how to pronounce the Deity's name properly. It amused me to note that the German pronunciation was closest to "Easter," with a long "E" at the start.

Early christianity took a lot from the pagan religions, things like rites and holidays, to make itself more... agreeable for the people. That way it turned itself from a, at times quite radical and violent, jewish sect into a proper religion.

I know it's probably not best to pull focus from both girls (because always a delight to see Esther, I still fondly remember the Easter Gift surprise from Macrophile~), but I'm still amused by how short Sekhmet next to lanky Jesus, best boi Anubis and <Insert Name Here>. Very Happy Easter to all =D
