Yay, what a huge joy to see you back with the SV comic and hopefully you're feeling better sweetie. Missed you and these adorable pages, how are you today? 🤗🧡
Omg, the impulsive gridball player with a slightly rude attitude is back indeed. And to make a perfect hit on Alex's kind heart, he managed to perform one of his Pro moves in big style! 😖🏉😵
Silly collie 🤭 but Alex with her sublime and smart mind quickly destroied his arrogant mood, inviting them both to get back to work! Better to think twice the next time you do a Pro Move in front of the bestest farmer lady! ✌️😁
Happy Easter day to you, dear Mittens!! 🐣🐇🥚

Happy Easter, Mittens (unless you're Orthodox, then Happy Easter next sunday)
So very glad you're back and feeling better. This comic today suggests you've been doing some reflection on the human/canine condition.
How lovely to run into Leah after a seaside morning and then getting invited into a deeper friendship with her. But it's all up-ended by running to Alex, all boastful, self-centered, and not above a little bullying when appropriate applause is not immediately rendered. Wonder if Alexa secretly surprised him by catching the missle.
Instead of an apology, the boor launches grandly into his career path to sports glory, convinced that our heroine will be even more impressed by his poise and confidence. She responds with a dismissive analysis of his training program, his work ethic, his juvinile and loutish attempt at a flirtation, and the limitations of such a dream should he by some chance achieve it.
Yet, instead of ending her critique with a verbal headshot of her own, Alexandra's parting comment is rather gentle, melancholy even, wistful, almost forgiving. Everyone has their dreams, we all must pursue them, not be defeated in pursuit of them...
But my dreams, your dreams, they're all so elusive, so fragile, aren't they? Would my success be any more enduring than yours, assuming either of us attained them, even momentarily? So, instead of a final (and well-deserved) put-down, she leaves with a wish for good luck to them both and a nod to the labors and uncertain realities they both face.
Alexa gets the last word to this tense, unpleasent encounter but, totally unexpected, her final comment has a kind of flinty kindness to it, almost a mutual benediction.
Have I mentioned before, along with your art and draftsmanship, I delight in your narrative structring and skills.

omg thank you for all the compliments *.*
I adore how you shorten Alexandrina's name to make clear which of Alexes you're talking about <3
happy Easter to you too! I'm not into religion and religious holidays but I like Easter and most of people here where I live are orthodox, so we'll have to wait a little bit to celebrate c:
I'm glad you've pointed out that Alexandrina did not "finish" Alex with her last words. yes, he's really getting on her nerves but she doesn't hate him for being all arrogant and cocky around her
